On 20. May the 3rd Design Management Forum will take place in the facilities of the WDR in Cologne. The event makes design as leading authority a subject of discussion and debates strategies for a future-oriented corporate culture. The goal of the Design Management Forum is to support small and medium-size enterprises with the structure of an independent and sustainable corporate culture. Therefore high-level leaders of well-known companies will give an insight into their success strategies, key note speakers are Jan Nieberle (Lufthansa), Frank Dehnke (LEGO), Tony Strnad (WDR), Hans-Jörg Müller (GIRA) and Veronica Rüter (Mankiewicz). Beyond that the participants have the possibility of deepening their special problems and questions in topic-specific workshops, guided by experts:

  1. Future scenarios in the productdefinition- and design process (Sven Schneider of Grohe and Frans Joziasse of PARK advanced design management)
  2. Communicating enterprise values? Public relations as a criteria for success (Christiane Herzhauser of Dyson and Nina Kleebank of Interbrand)
  3. Translation of enterprise values into corporate values. (Norbert Ruf of Wilkhahn and Brigitte Wolf of the Köln International School of Design)
  4. Integration of design processes into the value creation chain (Ulrich W. Siekmann of SieMatic and Ralf Beuker of Vol.2: design-management.de)
  5. Innovation with design in the automobile supplier industry (Martin Mangold of the HP Pelzer Group and Frank Dehnke of Lego Systems A/S)
  6. Design quality and safety (Reza Hashemi of Eppendorf and Tony Strnad of the WDR)

Some enterprises are known by everyone. They are characterized by one equal remaining high quality of their offers and enjoy an excellent reputation. Their products and services are very desired. The users are not only satisfied, they are even proud on their ownership. Successful enterprises have usually one thing in common: They have a strong corporate culture! The CEO sees design as top-priority and design is firmly integrated into the enterprise strategy. The products or services are not only well shaped, but the enterprise as a whole is characterized by an excellent design.

A good corporate culture creates not only satisfied customers, but motivates and inspires the employees to maximum performances as well.
