DUX2003: Designing for User Experiences conference CALL FOR PAPERS (submissions due February 1, 2003)



Organized by ACM SIGCHI, ACM SIGGRAPH, and AIGA Experience Design San Francisco, CA 5-7 June, 2003

OVERVIEW:
ACM SIGCHI, ACM SIGGRAPH, and AIGA Experience Design are pleased and excited to offer an unprecedented joint conference: DUX2003.

DUX2003 will gather together designers of all kinds to truly understand not only what makes for a quality user experience, but also what factors contribute to the creation of a success or a failure. DUX2003 will look at all facets of the product/service development lifecycle and at other facets of a business and business decisions that affect the user experience.

The results of the conference will contribute to the growing body of knowledge in the AIGA Experience Design Case Study Archive and the ACM Digital Library.

SUBMISSIONS
The conference program will feature prominent designers, business analysts, researchers, and educators via presentations and discussions of design cases, design practice, design research, invited talks, invited panels, and more. Here's your chance to show off your work! Please submit by 1 February, 2003.

The submission kit is now available via the DUX 2003 conference web site (http://www.dux2003.org/). The submission kit includes formatting and submission instructions as well as a template to be used for all categories of submissions. Remember that the submission deadline is 1 February, 2003.

There are two submission categories are: Studies (maximum 15 pages):

- Design case
- Design practice
- Design research

Sketches (maximum 4 pages):

- Design case
- Design practice
- Design research

All submissions meeting the conference requirements will be peer-reviewed by a jury composed of members of all three sponsoring societies.

Final Acceptance Notification                18 April, 2003

Presentation at Conference                   5-7 June, 2003
