Services have become a crucial part for innovation, growth and quality of life throughout the last decades.
Already in the early 90th KISD was the first university worldwide to put the design of services on the agenda of design education and is today the hub of the international service design network. Service Design choreographs processes, technologies and interactions within complex systems in order to co-create value for relevant stakeholders. Research and teaching are spread from social and public service design to innovation of services in the private sector. Applied research in close collaboration with partners is just as important as fundamental research on the emerging issues of service design theories and methods.
