{"id":5115,"date":"2015-07-27T16:13:29","date_gmt":"2015-07-27T14:13:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kisd.de\/en\/?page_id=5115"},"modified":"2023-03-14T11:03:41","modified_gmt":"2023-03-14T10:03:41","slug":"allocation-of-places","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/kisd.de\/en\/study\/information\/allocation-of-places\/","title":{"rendered":"Registration for Assigned Places"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>In order to ensure a consistent distribution of students to courses, please acknowledge the following rules.<\/h2>\n<div id=\"Lower-semesters-preferred\" class=\"accordion accordion--icon accordion--icon--left accordion--default\">\n    <div class=\"accordion__header\">\n        <a href=\"#Lower-semesters-preferred\">\n\t\t\t<h3 >\n\t\t\t\t<span class=\"icon accordion__icon\"><\/span>\n\t\t\t\tPriority status\/ number of semesters\t\t\t<\/h3>\n\t\t<\/a>\n    <\/div>\n    <div class=\"accordion__content\">\n        <p>\n<h5>Lower semesters preferred<\/h5>\n<p>Students with lower semester numbers are given priority with regard to courses\/events which are important to attend in particular at the beginning of studies, for example:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>so called easy-pieces-projects<\/li>\n<li>courses (K1, K2, K3)<\/li>\n<li>language courses (K1S)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>Higher semesters preferred<\/h5>\n<p>Students with higher semester numbers are given priority to lower semester students with regard to the following courses\/events:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>projects (LP, MP, KP)<\/li>\n<li>scientific seminars (WS)<\/li>\n<li>student working groups (AG)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>Procedure in case of identical semester numbers<\/h5>\n<p>If students have an identical number of semesters, \u00bbfirst come, first serve\u00ab applies.<\/p>\n<p>If there is a course\/event not listed on the course election platform, the respective teacher is free to apply other criteria for course allocation. At the end of the period of course selection, please be so kind to check on the intranet whether your chosen courses are listed here. If you have not been listed or maybe have dropped out for any reason, please register for free places in other courses.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"Registering-via-Spaces\" class=\"accordion accordion--icon accordion--icon--left accordion--default\">\n    <div class=\"accordion__header\">\n        <a href=\"#Registering-via-Spaces\">\n\t\t\t<h3 >\n\t\t\t\t<span class=\"icon accordion__icon\"><\/span>\n\t\t\t\tRegistering via Spaces\t\t\t<\/h3>\n\t\t<\/a>\n    <\/div>\n    <div class=\"accordion__content\">\n        <p>\n<p>After choosing courses during selection week, in a second phase you have the option of registering for free spots in KISDspaces: Search there for the associated Space of the desired course\u00a0\u2013 subscribe by clicking \u00bbNotify me\u00ab within the settings menu.
