The lecture series of the Faculty of Cultural Studies in the winter semester 2024 | 25\u00a0examines from an interdisciplinary perspective how participatory methods can be utilised in research projects. We are interested in mobilising the knowledge produced by non-academic actors in partnership to gain new research findings. The lecture series will explore how participatory processes can be realised for the design of research projects for the determination of topics, the framing of questions and the evaluation of materials. Collaborations with the whole range of possible participatory partners, from activists to municipal administrations, will be analysed.<\/h2>\n

Time: Mondays, 6.00 p.m., from 14.10.2024 – 18.11. 2024

Dr. Birgit Szczyrba from the Center for Teaching Development at the TH K\u00f6ln will bridge the gap between research and learning in her keynote lecture.<\/h2>\n

The lecture series of the faculty of cultural studies will explore in the winter term 2022 | 23 research perspectives in the cultural studies, with particular reference to the doctorates being developed at the\u00a0faculty.<\/h2>\n

The aim of the event is to work out\u00a0peculiarities and broader points of contact of doctoral studies at the TH K\u00f6ln with regard\u00a0to aspects such as\u00a0interdisciplinarity,\u00a0internationality, funding and research concepts. To\u00a0this end, doctoral students and professors as\u00a0well as external researchers will present their projects and examine them in light of the above-mentioned aspects. The lecture series\u00a0is\u00a0a project of the institutes Cologne Game Lab,\u00a0Institute of Conservation Sciences\u00a0and\u00a0K\u00f6ln International School of Design\u00a0and is\u00a0planned as a prelude to the introduction of further\u00a0joint research formats.<\/p>\n
