Due to a flapping-mechanism the "FLAPcam" provides many features of existing cameras in a completely new way and even adds new ones. If it's folded up, the lens, display and buttons are protected against dirt and scratches. Depending on how much the camera is flipped open the user can either make photos of himself or take photos from above (e.g. at live concerts).
