flexiON
Alice Rzezonka
A simple sheet of paper is turned into a lamp by a clean and straightforward interaction: Simply by folding the light is turned on
Drench Glow
Dorothee Clasen
Using the qualities of paper as an interactive material with it's own aesthetic. The basic elements salt, water and paper can be combined to create a temporary, increasing and decreasing effect that triggers predefined circuits
Crease Speakers
Carolina Menezes
Crease is a concept for a low-cost, portable speaker. With a single fold, the paper speaker converts from a flat triangular configuration to a double conical 3D sound enhancing shape
RISE
David Hartgenbusch
RISE combines the aesthetics of paper with polytronic (printable thin electronics) and LED technology. A very simple interaction creates a sculptural volume out of slim stripe of paper and lights a printed LED Light
The spiral-based sensor
Anna Suslova
The spiral shape cut illustrates how paper might react on touch and be interactive. While swiping your finger through the spiral you can dim light and control colour changes
Inked Light
Casillas Luis - Comuzzi Davide
The project was set of with the purpose of exploring aspects of coming technology: Printing circuits. This technology transforms voluminous circuits and hardware elements into tiny layers of electronic components. The protagonist of the project was no other than paper. One of the main aspects that were to be explored were the properties of paper that have to do with its characteristics such weight, flexibility, resistance, color among many others that may not seem as obvious such as the friction between two pieces of paper
