What lies behind the things we encounter? In five magazines, young KISD designers take a unique look at unusual everyday objects. The results will be exhibited in January at the Labor Ebertplatz project gallery.

The project is based on everyday objects that found their way into the archives of Cologne’s Kolumba Museum as part of the Schrifers donation and served as the basis for in-depth design studies – exploratory, experimental and with a special eye for the incidental. The students’ graphic works explore different worlds of objects, reflect on them in the here and now, and discover the special in the ordinary.
