As part of the RoboLAB Festival, students of Köln International School of Design will once again be showing fantastical, playful and possibly even practical contributions between artistic installation and design at the cultural venue Odonien.
This time, the students’ works deal with the speculative question of whether artificial intelligence and machines could help us imagine a barrier-free future. Some of the works were developed together with Minh-Duc Co, artist at kaethe:k Kunsthaus.
RoboLAB is a sculpture, workshop and gallery for inclusive and accessible art in Cologne’s well-known underground venue Odonien. KISD has been cooperating with the project since 2020. In teaching/research projects, students here develop interfaces, interventions, prototypes and speculative artifacts for accessibility and inclusion together with disabled and non-disabled experts from the arts and cultural sector.
