The work of KISD student Johannes Mechler was awarded first prize and 3,000 euros in the 39th poster competition of Deutsches Studierendenwerk (DSW, Germany, Student Service Agencies). A total of 745 posters were submitted by 37 universities on the theme “Campus of the future?”

As with the first prize-winning poster, numerous submissions addressed the topics of climate change, artificial intelligence and virtual reality. When launching the competition, the DSW
asked the students what role digitalization and »AI« will play in the campus of the future and what sustainable principles and environmental aspects will play a role in the development of a modern campus.

In addition to the winning motif by Johannes Mechler, the posters by KISD students Niklas Brungs and Kirill Solovev are also part of a traveling exhibition by the DSW, which will be on display in various Student Agencies from autumn 2025. The KISD students were supervised by Prof. Michael Gais.
