On December 4th, 2024, KISD students, staff and many visitors gathered to witness the Kölner Klopfer 2024 Vernissage and Award Ceremony. The Klopfer team worked closely with the winners of this year’s prize, Das Wetter – Magazine für Text und Musik, to curate an exhibition celebrating the magazine’s creation and evolution.
The event kicked off last Wednesday evening. Guests began arriving around 6 PM, exploring the exhibition. By 7 PM, with a packed venue, the award ceremony commenced.
The ceremony began with a toast from the event’s sponsor and host, Stiftung Findeisen, whose support made this student-led initiative possible. Following this, the Kölner Klopfer 2024 project team—Luna Senyurt, Lotta Hagedorn and Patricio Artengo Aguado—spoke about their journey to revive the Kölner Klopfer. Then Hanna Osen and Caspar Reuss, Art Directors and the magazine’s graphic team, received the award on behalf of the entire Das Wetter team.
After that, the guests enjoyed music by DJPalga and Tony, ice-cold drinks and the exhibition. The showcase featured spreads, covers, texts, and photographs from Das Wetter, with visitors also having the opportunity to purchase the magazine’s latest issues. Here are some impressions of the ceremony and exhibition.
A big “Thank You” to everybody involved, especially the committed Klopfer team Luna, Lotta and Patricio for bringing the @koelner.klopfer back to life again! We hope that this cherished tradition will be continued in 2025.
