What matters most to people? How do people feel living in their cities? What affects our perception of well-being? The talk will emphasize why a design approach to experience is essential to learn about people’s needs and desires, to establish criteria and to change reality focused on better life and well-being. Daniela Kutschat Hanns will show examples of indexes and collaborative offline and online actions, services and apps developed in Brazil. Furthermore, she will discuss research methods used to establish metrics and to quickly (algorithmically) evaluate social media complaints about the main public transport service of São Paulo city (SPTrans) as well as our approach to city managers, companies, NGOs, and individuals.
