How does sound abstract the space around us? How can we interact with something that we cannot see, taste, smell or touch? Does the sound we experience really come from outside our heads?
Jakob Kilian and students from KISD have created a series of interactive sound installations consisting of (up to) eight loudspeakers. In three dimensions, the sound arouses curiosity about the invisible sonic world that surrounds us.
The three-dimensional sound can be experienced in the audioLABOR, a collection of student installations exhibited as part of Passagen 24 in the LABOR at Ebertplatz.
