The seven potential award winners had previously been discussed by the students at KISD in a large round: . The nominees were: Graphic designer and art director Cihan Tamti, Superflux co-founder Anab Jain, designer and content creator Laura Kampf, type designer and artist Charlotte Rohde, film colourist Marina Starke, the socially engaged design studio Brave New Alps and ‘Das Wetter’ – magazine for text and music,.
The winner was then chosen in a five-day voting phase. ‘Das Wetter’ was nominated for its exceptional design and journalistic quality, which addresses current cultural and social phenomena for a young audience and reflects the zeitgeist. The magazine covers topics such as gender, identity and artistic-political movements and offers in-depth interviews and essays that reveal perspectives rarely found in the mainstream media. In addition, ‘Das Wetter’ promotes young, up-and-coming artists and writers who are often overlooked by other publications.
We look forward to welcoming many visitors!
