“What you often learn at KISD is to work in different cultural contexts and challenging our view on things we take for granted, our feelings, our values. I also learned how to systematically approach these challenges and make a project out of it.”
Simon Meienberg is an interdisciplinary Designer for Social Transformation and Spatial Narratives. He is currently facilitating a project for the UN Migration Agency (IOM) to redesign migrant information centres in The Gambia. Several projects at KISD and his thesis helped him find his field of expertise and an extended version of the classic understanding of design. Simon graduated from KISD with an M.A. in European Studies in Design in 2019.
