Services can be seen as performances in the double sence of the word: Value is co-created and this is done on a shared analogue or virtual stage. The perspective on services as performances leads to the question what service design can take as inspirations from the performing arts. This lecture will recap the research project “The Art of Service” and elaborate on new opportunities for application and on research perspectives in the field.
