Trial and error – Reflections on how to run a design practise (without preparation)

From a subjective point of view, this talk will explore the conditions of graphic design education alongside the infinite challenges of running a design practice.
After graduating from Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam, Serge Rompza co-founded the Berlin- and Oslo-based graphic design studio NODE in 2003, together with Anders Hofgaard. The two offices collaboratively focus on identity, print, exhibition, and interactive work. Since 2004, Serge has regularly been teaching at art and design academies.
