It is finally time: last year’s Cologne Design Price will be awarded for the 15th time in January.
Over the years the price has become an integral part of Cologne’s successful young design history. It has been launched in 2007 by Prof. Dr. Michael Erlhoff, founding dean of KISD, in order to promote young talents. Awarded are the most outstanding final theses by students from the universities of KISD, ecosign, macromedia and Rheinische Fachhochschule Köln.
Due to the lockdown the award ceremony could not take place in 2021. The price will now be awarded on January 18 in a small circle at the Museum of Applied Arts (MAKK). A total of sixteen works has been nominated. KISD – Köln International School of Design – participates with eleven nominated students. All sixteen projects are exhibited online at www.koelnerdesignpreis.de.
