The object of the project was to support and to frame the transformation of the ZB MED through a cross-media communication concept and a holistic corporate design.

The German National Library of Medicine (ZB MED) is undergoing a transformation process and will in future be a center for information, data and services in the life sciences. This is associated with an expansion of the range of subjects: In addition to medicine, the following subjects will be included in the future: health care, bioinformatics, nutrition, environmental and agricultural sciences will be part of the offers and services. An important part of the strategic reorientation and basis of future services is the development of a transdisciplinary and application-oriented research concept. The aim is to make life science information accessible in terms of content in such a way that transdisciplinary contexts can be represented and searched independently of the classic subject areas.
