Academic Programs

With the academic programs at the Köln International School of Design the students have the opportunity to choose from three different degree programs. In an international study environment, our degree programs systematically combine various design-related perspectives with approaches from other disciplines as well.

At KISD, students develop the ability to deal with constituent themes, contents and positions of society in theory and practice and to critically introduce these themes, contents and positions into interdisciplinary problems and decision-making processes. The interdisciplinary project structure of the program promotes independent and interdisciplinary work. In twelve teaching and research areas in the Bachelor’s program and four Thematic Clusters in the Master’s program, students work in a project-oriented and student-centered learning and research environment that offers them a great deal of creative freedom.
