In 2022, the project “Trust – Distance – Intimacy” began with two photography courses led by Anna Shapiro. During these courses, the students not only developed practical skills but also individually approached the theme “Trust – Distance – Intimacy”.
The students’ interpretations resulted in unique photographs that tell stories about people, places and emotions. The results include various formats and mediums: from digital photography to analogue technology, and even 3D scans.

As part of the Photoszene Festival, the students will now exhibit these works at the KISD between 12 and 20 May 2023. The photo festival, which will take place all over the city, consists of a curated core programme realised by the Photoszene itself and an exhibition parcours in which various museums, galleries, art spaces and studios can participate.
The exhibition’s vernissage, with drinks and music, will take place on the 12th of May 2023 at 5 pm in rooms 11 and 12. KISD would kindly like to invite you to visit the exhibition as well during the following days until the 20th of May.
