In her KISDtalk, Charlie Singer-Fischer discusses her book “Between the Lines – AI, Brave New Future?” and addresses the topics of AI and design.
About the talk
How is artificial intelligence changing our language—and what does that mean for design?
In her book „Between the Lines—AI, Brave New Future?“ (Niggli Verlag, 2024), designer Charlie Singer-Fischer examines how AI systems influence our communication, our thinking, and our idea of creativity. Drawing on George Orwell’s “1984,” prompting practices, and design theory, she shows why AI is not just a tool, but a designable space.
The lecture invites an open, humorous conversation about the opportunities, risks, and design possibilities in dealing with intelligent machines – especially for young designers who wonder how we can remain creative with (and despite) AI in the future.
