Graphic Design off the beaten path: Although a large part of the global graphic design people experience in everyday life does not come from trained designers, relatively little attention is paid to this supposedly naive form of visual communication.

The advent of design software, the internet, sub-, fan- and meme culture created techniques that slowly made it into the repertoire of designers today and that can be identified in the works for high profile studios, major companies or renowned cultural institutions.

Max Kuwertz studied Integrated Design at KISD and graduated in 2013. He worked as art- and creative director for Meiré und Meiré, Random Studio and Meta Design before he founded his own studio. He is the co-publisher and art director of ROM Magazine, has two kids and lives and works in Berlin.
