Yulia Popova, graphic designer, Berlin

Tuesday, January 19, 5:30 pm

“How many female type designers do you know? Are there really fewer women in type design than men? What historical events did have an impact on the current situation in type industry? Why is the share of female speakers at typographic conferences much lower?“ Questions like these became the central topic in Yulia’s research project. She collected data and statistics, interviewed people in the type design industry, and went through archives to better understand the situation. In this Online KISDtalk, Yulia will share her findings and present the book that became the final outcome of the project.
