Next week’s thursday, 2nd december 2021 – 7 pm, KISD’s Motion Experience Lab is hosting an online event with the title: Shape Shifting Liveness. Since the summer term, a student team developed, designed and produced an unique performative online show- as part of “Ring Ring”; which is a ‘Ringveranstaltung‘ across 7 design universities initiated of students of Burg Giebichenstein Kunsthochschule Halle which we collaborate with.
Shape Shifting Liveness portrays an online counter-lecture (fragmenting and distorting the audience experience while disrupting its traditional linearity) framed as an audio-visual essay on alternative timelines and non-linear narratives. It quests on online meeting culture and investigates on audio-visual formats in online performances, some of which depicts critical perspectives and experimentation on real-time dramaturgy, media performativity, post?pandemic design studying, AI, creating atmospheres, digital space awareness and decision making. We are questioning what is real/unreal happening / what is now/nowness, or has been already and thereby challenge liveness and perception trying to push the edges of live video producing & conferencing.
With KISD students Aysha Malaly Heuer, Anna Drießen, Clemens Roman Heiermann, Julia Kirch, Justus Knut Schomann, Katja Valerie Merle, Maren Wolf, Samuel McBride and guest master students Lisa-Marlen Mantel and Laura Juliane Wagner. With special appearance of experts from the Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt (DLR) – Institut für KI-Sicherheit. Additional conceptual work by Tomas Ignacio Corvalan Azocar and Sarah-Yasmine Aoufi. Conducted and directed by guest lecturer Michael Titze & Prof. Nina Juric / Image & Motion department.
