Matthias Grund, research associate at KISD, will give a presentation at the international conference “Post Photographic Images” at Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences and participate in the exhibition “Pre, Present and Post Photographic Images” at the university gallery Satellit.

Against the backdrop of the rapid development of the technical image from the photographic to the post-photographic image, which encompasses digital photographs and AI-generated images, the conference deals with a specific aspect of recent image production: the aspect of generativity, which has now become an umbrella term and will be examined empirically and experimentally using various imaging techniques, as well as being explored in terms of its historical development. The conference opens on 25 November at 6 p.m. and runs until 27 November.

The complete programme can be found at: https://generative-aesthetics.hsbi.de/de/tagungen/

Free registration is available via a ticket generator: https://generative-aesthetics.hsbi.de/de/tagungen-2/ticket-generator/

The exhibition will be open from 25 November to 20 December 2025 and can be visited free of charge during the opening hours of the Bielefeld Wissenswerkstadt (Tuesday to Saturday, 10 a.m.–6 p.m.).

The conference is sponsored by the Wüstenrot Foundation.
