This week at Service Design Drinks Cologne, Daniela Beyerle and Jan Schröder will talk about the topic of “Digital Inclusion” from two different angles – based on their work at minds & makers and in the PIKSL Lab they will discuss the potentials and challenges of digitalization in the field of inclusion services.
Daniela Beyerle is the director of the PIKSL Lab Cologne. In her work she connects people with and without disabilities to realise innovative ideas through inclusion and make the digital space more accessible. PIKSL Lab work with various partners like the Bundeszentrale für politische Bildung or various design Universities and has received numerous awards. Daniela is also one of the founders and managing partners at minds & makers.
Jan Schröder is one of the managing directors of minds & makers, where he works on topics such as digital inclusion, social entrepreneurship and digital innovation. He works with partners such as Facebook, VW, the German Society for International Cooperation (giz) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Crisis Bureau.
The two of them will visit us on 26.01. at 17:30 in Room 12 for a talk. Afterwards we will connect over a casual drink and chat a bit about Service Design.
‘Service Design Drinks’ is an ongoing event series hosted by students interested in Service Design. We invite you to join our get-togethers, a mix of lectures, exhibitions, workshops and discussions with a casual drink. It’s for everyone wanting to get in touch with service design, other Service Designers in Cologne, and students interested in SD. It’s open for experienced SD’s as well as complete ‘newcomers‘.
