Interface Design
Philipp Heidkamp is designing interfaces, interactions and system for various national and international clients (like (Deutsche Telekom, Vodafone, EXPO 200, Bertelsmann, Siemens, Mc Kinsey, Fraunhofer Gesellschaft, German Ministry for Science and Research etc.) since more than 20 years. His focus is on contextual studies, information architecture and visualization, user experience, user centered design and eco-social transformations. He has a strong research and teaching focus in the area of urban transformations and mobility with various projects in Asia, Africa and South America.
Philipp Heidkamp has been speaker on international conferences in Europe, China, Japan, Taiwan, Kenia, South Africa, United States and Brazil. He is member of various international design juries and academic examination commitees. Since 2001, Philipp Heidkamp is Professor for Interface / Interaction Design at the Köln International School of Design, from 2002-2006 Head of School at KISD, for many years Head of Programme for the Master Course MA European Design and MA Integrated Design. Since, he is 2006 Dean of the Faculty for Cultural Sciences. His international experience includes more than 30 visiting professorships and workshops in Sydney, Tokyo, Chiba, Taipei, Johannesburg, Nairobi, Curritiba, New York, Hongkong, Glasgow, Paris, Milan and Helsinki – mostly connected with strategic planning for academic teaching and research as well as curriculum development.
